The UK is legally committed to reaching net zero by 2050. This means that the total greenhouse gas emissions would be equal to the emissions removed from the atmosphere, with the aim of limiting global warming and resultant climate change.
Depaul UK is an organisation with circa 330 staff working in over 60 buildings in which we operate our services. Our goal is to end homelessness and transform the lives of those affected by it. That requires that we uphold our values – including taking a wider role in society – and ensure that our workforce, our buildings and the clients we support are all part of the journey towards net zero. This will enable an ongoing future of sustainable living, green investment, carbon education programmes and energy efficient developments which will all help to achieve Depaul UK’s and Depaul Housing Services’ own targets.
