Young people leaving care or at risk of homelessness often don’t have a support network to fall back on. Without somewhere safe and stable to live, many face an increased risk of harm, exploitation and long-term homelessness.
Supported Lodgings are designed to offer a safe, supportive environment to get them back on their feet.
Trained and vetted community hosts, called ‘providers’, not only provide a room, but also guidance, encouragement and emotional support. This setup helps young people develop essential life skills such as cooking, budgeting and managing daily responsibilities while having a stable place to stay.
Providers work closely with our staff to ensure young people receive tailored support based on their needs.
With these foundations in place, young people are equipped to form strong relationships, achieve their goals and take positive steps towards a brighter, independent future.
We are currently recruiting in London, Wigan, Cheshire West and Chester.
Becoming a Supported Lodgings provider is a unique and rewarding way to help a young person in your community. You don’t need formal qualifications – just a spare room, patience and a willingness to support someone at a crucial moment in their life.
