Nightstop guest Yasmina reunites with her hosts
Ex-Nightstop guest Yasmina reunites with the Mark and Elisabeth, the hosts who welcomed her when she had nowhere safe to go.
Young people at risk of rough sleeping are matched with trained and vetted volunteer hosts who offer a place to stay in the spare room of their home. As well as a bed for the night, Nightstop hosts provide meals, washing facilities and a friendly, listening ear.
During a young person’s stay, Nightstop teams work with them to address the underlying issues that have led to crisis point and help find longer-term solutions. This might mean arranging family mediation to support a return home, or helping a young person move on to supported housing through the local authority or other charity-led services.
Led and accredited by Depaul UK, the Nightstop network is delivered by charities and community organisations around the UK.
Through Nightstop UK, we can prevent homelessness and change the course of a young person’s life.
