Volunteering is a team within Depaul which focuses on supporting volunteers in working with clients. There are many different roles for volunteers in this team and have access to a wide range of training and development opportunities.Aim of the volunteer role:
This volunteer will be working with staff and volunteers on the volunteering nationally to gather case studies from young people, volunteers and staff members. This volunteer will be working remotely contacting young people, staff and other volunteers by phone call with the occasional video call. This volunteer will be completing their volunteering nationally.Main Tasks:
Eg. Good communication skills, a non-judgmental approach, confidence with communicating via phone calls, knowledge of using IT such as Microsoft word and outlook emails as well as commitment to the work of Depaul UK.Support and supervision:
The volunteer will be line managed by Emma Mohan.Induction and training:
All volunteers with receive a Volunteer induction and an induction to specific roles and projects. Volunteers will be given access to learning and development opportunities in line with their role.Commitment:
A maximum of 4 hours per week.
If you have not been an active in your volunteering for 3 months we will contact you to see if you wish to continue and if you have not been active for 6 months your volunteering role will be ended. You could then re-apply for any volunteering at Depaul again going through the full volunteer recruitment process.Benefits to the Volunteer:
