Will you give young people facing homelessness the hope of a brighter future?

Every four minutes, a young person in the UK faces the terrifying prospect of homelessness.

Tonight thousands of young people will sleep rough or in unsafe places frightened, alone, and at risk of violence and exploitation. No young person should face a night like this.

But with compassion and action, things can change.

you can help turn fear into hope for a young person tonight

Our Nightstop service is an emergency accommodation network that relies on trained and vetted volunteers across the country. These hosts open their homes – and their hearts – to young people in crisis, offering a safe bed for the night and a lifeline of hope.

Your support helps ensure that when a young person has nowhere else to turn, there is someone who cares and a warm welcome for them.

inspired by the compassion of st vincent de paul

Our work is inspired by the teachings of St Vincent de Paul, who lived his faith through service to those most in need.

His vision of compassion, dignity, and practical action continues to guide our work today as we help young people move out of homelessness and towards a brighter future.

We don’t just respond to homelessness – we work to prevent it

Family breakdown is the leading cause of youth homelessness. That’s why we work to prevent problems reaching a crisis point by:

  • Raising awareness in schools
  • Training professionals to recognise early warning signs
  • Providing family mediation to help keep families together

For those who cannot safely return home, our supported accommodation and wrap-around support provide the stability young people need to rebuild their lives:

  • Developing life-skills training for independent living
  • Enabling mental health and trauma recovery
  • Supporting a return to education or training
  • Finding opportunities to gain employment skills

The work of Depaul UK is only possible thanks to the compassion and generosity of supporters.

With your support, fear can become hope for a young person facing homelessness tonight.
