“Hi, I’m Valentine and I live in Depaul supported accommodation. I recently took part in a Depaul art exhibition ‘Paint to Prevent’, which celebrated young people’s creativity and provided an outlet for us to express our experiences of homelessness. The project helped young people tell their stories to raise awareness of the plight of those facing homelessness.
“I wrote this poem for the exhibition as a way to raise awareness of feelings that certain people would have being homeless. Please click on the video to hear me reading my poem.”
