Thanks to the Players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, we are supporting thousands of young people at risk of homelessness through services like Nightstop, which provide emergency accommodation for young people in crisis.
Becky Dimmock
For Becky and her family in Manchester, hosting young people through Nightstop is simply part of life. Since 2021, their home has offered warmth, safety, and a chance to reset for those facing homelessness, showing their children that compassion can be as simple as sharing a meal and a roof for the night.
Andy and Michelle
Andy and Michelle from North London have welcomed more than 80 Nightstop guests into their home over the last decade. They think it’s one of the most tangible, rewarding and practical ways of offering hope to a young person.
Mark Bryant
Mark Bryant, a former bishop, has been hosting young people at risk of homelessness for over ten years now. He has a special dish he likes to cook for guests on their first night.
Katy and Will
Katy and Will started hosting during lockdown. Their son Zac is brilliant at breaking the ice when a young person comes to stay.
Janice and John
After decades of working in Africa in the humanitarian sector, Janice and John returned to the UK and started volunteering as Nightstop hosts. They have hosted more than 50 young people and have put their Arabic skills to good use by welcoming young refugees.
Sue Antrobus
Sue works full time for a wildlife charity and hosts one young person every month. She does it because she wants young people to know that they’re not alone and that people they’ve never met before can care about them.
