No young person has to face homelessness alone this winter

Every night, thousands of young people across the UK have nowhere safe to sleep. Your gift could help provide a young person with a safe place to stay and a warm welcome.

No young person should face homelessness alone this winter

will you make a donation so no young person has to face homelessness alone?

Across the UK, young people are facing homelessness for many different reasons. For some, family breakdown means they suddenly have nowhere safe to sleep. For others, home has become unsafe because of abuse or circumstances beyond their control. Losing a safe place to stay can happen overnight, and it is frightening to face it alone.

Nightstop provides an immediate response. We connect young people facing homelessness with trained, vetted volunteer hosts who offer a safe place to stay, a hot meal, and a warm welcome when they need it most.

Your donation could help us match young people with emergency accommodation, support our volunteer hosts and ensure that no young person is left without a safe place to turn.

This winter, please make a donation and be part of a community helping young people find safety, stability and hope.

How Kassi found safety and stability

Kassi, 21, was sofa-surfing for around four months after family conflict and the abuse she suffered led her to leave home. University had offered her hope of an independent future, but without family financial support, her student loan was refused. She was left unable to continue her studies.

She found Nightstop through an online search and was welcomed into the home of a trained volunteer host.

“Knowing I had a place to shower and sleep instead of having to sleep rough, it was incredibly reassuring and comforting.”

With our volunteer hosts, Kassi found a safe place to sleep, a meal and people who treated her with dignity.

Kassi is now looking forward to the year with genuine hope. She is returning to university, having received help from Depaul UK’s staff at the Hub, to achieve this. But her big dream is to get into youth work.

WHY YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED THIS WINTER

This winter, we’re asking you to help young people facing homelessness access the safety and support they need.

Nightstop is a community response.

Your gift could provide:

  • a young person’s travel to safety in their host’s home
  • a hot meal and essentials such as toiletries and pyjamas
  • dedicated staff help a young person to plan their next steps into stability.

Every part of this response matters.

You don’t need a spare room to welcome a young person in. When you donate this winter, you become part of the community that cares.

Tonight, a young person needs us to act quickly.

Will you join our community by donating?
