At Depaul UK we support our young people in Education, Training and Employment (ETE) through comprehensive programmes.

We run Steps to Success, our national Education, Training and Employment programme, designed to support young people aged from 16 to 25 to build the skills, knowledge and confidence to achieve their employment goals.

The eight-strong Programmes Team and our substantial network of Progression Coach staff, working in supported accommodation in London and the South East, the North East, South Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, provide one-to-one ETE support to each client, developing a tailored progression to an individual employment plan and setting realistic goals and support plans to overcome barriers to employment.

The key elements of this Education, Training and Employment journey are:

  • Connecting clients to information and opportunities to equip them with the skills they need to succeed
  • Working with young people to overcome financial barriers to ETE
  • Developing clients’ skills, knowledge and confidence
  • Promoting and connecting clients to relevant volunteering opportunities
  • Offering nationally recognised training that is tailored to the requirements of the individual

Here at Depaul UK we owe a debt of gratitude to the Tidy family.

In the face of tragedy, they found a way to honour their daughter’s memory and help hundreds of young people to escape homelessness.

In 1998, Roo’s Fund planted the seed for our employment, education and training programmes, now a central part of the work that we do, ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to reach their potential.
