2020 marks five years of Depaul UK receiving support from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery. During that time Depaul UK received £10.9 million from players and engaged with over 19,000 young people.

Thank You

Depaul UK CEO Mike Thiedke said: “This support has enabled us to do what we’re here to do – which is to help the thousands of people across this country who don’t have a safe place to call home.

“From all of us at Depaul UK we want to say a heartfelt thank you to the players who make this possible.”

Over the last five years, support from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery has allowed us to open three new Endeavour Centres, publish important research and to develop new fundraising and communications strategies.

Callum’s story

After facing homelessness, Callum found emergency accommodation with Nightstop.

Once he was settled in his own accommodation, Depaul staff supported Callum to pursue his dream of working for the fire service.

Covid-19: Weathering the storm

2020 has been an unpredictable year for the charity sector. Here at Depaul UK, we had to keep services operational and ensure the health and safety of our staff, clients and volunteers in an unprecedented and challenging environment.

Thanks to flexible funding received from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, we were able invest in core costs including staffing and technology to weather the storm.

When Fiona came to visit

In 2019, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Fiona Phillips visited Depaul UK services to find out how we help thousands of people facing homelessness every year.
